The course of this film is about his inane existence, his insecurities and his inability to fit in to the hip crowd. The setting is in charming Southern Italy of a run down town near a harbor. Although it can be painful to watch this drip of a man, being rejected and snubbed repeatedly, the narration is really clever and quite amusing. There are lots of pretty girls and chauvinistic men to fill the stew.
